WEB GEMS- Top 6th: Elmer Flick robbed Mike Piazza of an extra base hit.

Tim Raines left the yard and had 2 RBI as the Grand River Ghostmen rallied
impressively to win in dramatic style over Limerick Hurlers, 7 to 5.

Grand River came through with the game-winning runs in the top of the 9th
inning scoring 5 runners on 6 hits.  The key offensive moment was provided by
Raines who quieted the crowd when he blasted a two-run home run (his 1st of
the season).  Overall Grand River out-hit Limerick 11 to 5.

The win went to Andy Messersmith(1-3) who allowed 2 runs in 1 and 1/3 innings.
Messersmith was helped out by John Wetteland who recorded his 12th save.
Babe Adams(1-4) was charged with the loss in relief.

'We just kept swinging the bats and didn't give up,' Raines said. 'If you just
keep trying good things can happen!'
