The game was decided in the bottom of the 9th inning. Sam Crawford took matters into his own hands and smashed a bases-empty 'big-fly' (his 7th of the season) making Kelso the victors to the delight of the home town faithful. The game was a scoreless duel until the 6th inning. Mitch Williams(3-4) got credit for the victory, pitching 1/3 of an inning and allowing no runs. The loss was charged to Ron Perranoski(1-1) in relief. |
