33,792 fans watched an exciting game at Network Asc Coliseum.  The Lake Erie
Mohawks topped the Cleveland Mayors by the slimmest of margins, 3 to 2.

Both teams were tied at 2 runs apiece after nine innings.  Lake Erie came out
the victor in the 10th inning.  Benny Kauff ripped a base-knock.  Kauff stole
second with some aggressive base running.  George Davis then drew a walk.
After an out was recorded, Johnny Mize stepped up to the plate and he drew a
walk to load the bases.  Buck Ewing came to the plate and laced a single
giving Lake Erie the victory as 33,792 happy fans celebrated wildly.  Both
teams ended up with 8 on the afternoon. 

The win went to Dick Hughes(4-2) who allowed no runs in 1 inning. Joe
Berry(0-1) was hit with the loss in relief.  The winning ways continue for
Lake Erie.  They now have a record of 8-2 in recent days.  With the loss
Cleveland now has a record of 31-53, worst in the division.
