In a close game it was the red-hot North Eaton Posy DagGumits 7, the
Sacramento Soches 5 in 10 innings at Candlestick Park.

The score was tied at 4 after nine.  North Eaton won the hard fought contest
in the 10th inning.  Smoky Burgess started the inning off right when he
slapped a single.  Bill Lange stepped up next and he ripped a base-knock.
Reggie Smith then belted a three-run homer (his 1st of the season).  For the
game North Eaton out-hit Sacramento 14 to 7. 

The winning pitcher was Jimmy Key(4-2) who allowed no runs in 2 innings. Jeff
Montgomery earned the save, his 20th.  Lee Smith(1-5) took the loss in
relief.  He gave up 3 runs and 3 hits without retiring a batter. 

It was another victory for North Eaton at Candlestick Park.  Now their winning
streak stands at 9 games.
