At Tiger Stadium the Bat Cracking Bombers offense put up 5 runs on the
scoreboard in the 8th inning and outscored the Grand River Ghostmen 7 to
4.

Mario Soto(3-1) looked good in relief and was the winning pitcher.  He allowed
just 1 hit and no walks in 1 inning reducing his ERA from 2.45 to 2.25.  Bat
Cracking had 9 hits for the night. 

Soto got help from David Wells who was credited with his 2nd save.  Joe
McGinnity(2-2) suffered the loss.  The Bat Cracking ballclub's record now
stands at 48-39.  Grand River continued their losing ways and their record is
now 34-47, worst in the division.  They are 2-8 in their last ten games.
