Ted Williams became the sole author of the rally when he cracked a bases-empty home run (his 12th of the season) giving Harvey the victory and sending the 48,868 home-town fans home happy. Despite losing, N. Ridgeville out-hit Harvey 8 to 5. Mike Stanton(3-3) was the winner allowing no runs in 1 inning. The loss was charged to Todd Worrell(0-1) in relief.
