Rosen was a source of great heartache for the Limerick faithful all day. He just kept pounding out hits! He blasted a two-run home run in the 1st inning, delivered a one-base hit in the 8th inning and lost the ball over the fence for three runs (his 6th of the season) in the 9th inning. Cleveland totaled 16 on the afternoon. The victory was credited to Spalding(10-4) who went the distance, allowing 2 runs. The losing pitcher was Don Newcombe(5-10). He allowed 6 hits and no walks in 5 innings. 'Actually, I didn't feel that comfortable at the plate today' Rosen said after the game. 'Despite that, I'm happy with the results! |
