In a good matchup it was the Brentwood Bearcats 6, the Bat Cracking Bombers 4
at Tiger Stadium.

Hank Greenberg provided the offensive punch.  He lifted one out of the park
for a two run home run (his 16th of the season) in the 1st inning, doubled
resulting in a run in the 3rd inning and slapped a single which was good for
two runs in the 8th inning.  Bat Cracking had a chance to come back in the
9th but they came up short.

The win went to Kevin Brown(10-2) who allowed 2 runs in 7 innings. The losing
pitcher was Willie Hernandez(2-3).  When questioned about the loss, Bat
Cracking's manager said, 'The fans got to see an exciting game out there
tonight.  Unfortunately, we couldn't get it done this time.  Next time,
though, we'll be the clubhouse with all the smiles.'
