At Candlestick Park the Hinckley Buzzards were battered 9 to 4 by the Lake
Erie Mohawks.

Hinckley fell behind quickly as the Lake Erie offense came through in the
first inning when they tallied 2 runs on 2 hits.  The key at-bat was by Jeff
Kent who silenced Candlestick Park as he delivered a base-hit which was good
for two runs.  Lake Erie banged out 10 on the night.

Ed Reulbach(10-4) was the winner allowing 3 runs in 7 innings. Jim Palmer(4-8)
was the loser.  He was touched for 8 hits and 4 walks in 5 innings.
