Second baseman Paul Molitor jacked one out of the ballyard and had 3 RBI as
the N. Ridgeville Bandits staged a dramatic comeback over the Grand River
Ghostmen by a score of 7 to 6 at Municipal Stadium.

N. Ridgeville had the winning rally in the bottom of the 9th inning with 2
runs using 3 hits.  Gary Carter led off and started the attack as he lashed a
single.  Dave Concepcion came to the plate and drew a walk.  Eddie Murray
struck out, unable to help the rally.  Tony Gwynn came up and he hit a single
to load the bases.  Molitor stepped into the box and doubled giving N.
Ridgeville the victory as 38,001 happy fans celebrated wildly.  This was a
game of many highs and lows for the home town fans, as the lead kept changing
- 5 times in all.

The winning pitcher was Jeff Reardon(1-2) who allowed no runs in 1/3 of an
inning. Tex Hughson(0-1) took the loss in relief.  N. Ridgeville now has a
record of 42-60.  Grand River has a record of 41-58, worst in the division
after the loss.
