WEB GEMS- Top 5th: George Davis robbed Dave Concepcion of a base hit.

Dave Concepcion blasted a homerun as the N. Ridgeville Bandits defeated the
Lake Erie Mohawks in 10 innings by a score of 3 to 2 at Network Asc
Coliseum.

The game was deadlocked at 2 after nine full innings.  N. Ridgeville won the
hard fought contest in the 10th inning.  Concepcion reached on an error.
After an out was recorded, Tony Gwynn stepped up to the plate and he would
hit into a fielders choice scoring the run.  Lake Erie had 12 hits in the
game while N. Ridgeville had 8, but N. Ridgeville had the more timely hits.

Monte Ward(2-1) went 1/3 of an inning allowing no runs for the victory. Ward
got relief help from Jeff Reardon who gained credit for his 9th save.  The
loss was charged to Howie Camnitz(5-9) in relief.  He was the victim of a
defensive lapse and did not allow an earned run in the game.

The winning ways continue for N. Ridgeville.  They now have a record of 8-2 in
recent days.  Lake Erie will hope that this loss is only a 'blip' on their
recent 8-2 run - and not a start of a new trend.
