    Cook for a Cause (adults)

One of the greatest satisfactions of cooking is sharing your creations with others. In this workshop we’ll cook a variety of dishes and enjoy them ourselves, as well as donating some to families in the community. People with all levels of cooking skill are welcome, and instruction on knife skills and cooking techniques will be given as we cook. Come enjoy a fun afternoon of cooking with others, and you’ll leave full of the good food we make and the warm feeling that comes from helping those less fortunate.

    Chocolate Passion Workshop (adults)

Whether it’s a fudgy brownie or an indulgent truffle, anything with chocolate has a magical appeal. However, we’ve all had disappointing brownies, because chocolate can be a finicky ingredient. In this workshop you’ll learn the secrets to how to treat chocolate right and transform it into delicious desserts and treats. We’ll taste different types of chocolate, make impressive garnishes, and create lots of desserts you can take home to hoard or share. Come have fun cooking and eating the most wonderful food on earth!

    Cooking Basics Class Series

"I enjoyed the class very much and have already started incorporating it into my cooking."

For anyone who's just getting into cooking or wants to buff up on his or her skills and learn some new recipes, this two-session series incorporates all the fundamentals. If you're a "survival cook", come learn a few techniques that will let you expand your repertoire and impress your friends. If you like to cook but feel like you missed out on Cooking 101, you'll find out the reasoning behind common instructions and techniques.

We'll cover knife skills, how to cook meats and vegetables, and the basics of baking while making many recipes that you'll find useful over and over. We'll also discuss essential equipment for any kitchen, how to choose good recipes, and how to improvise in the kitchen.
