Chapter 4: The First Siege Part 1
Chris and Sabbrielle sat in the throne room staring at their shoes. They had no way to fix this, they didn't even know who or what the Imposter was.
"He says he's been to the Secret Adobe but that's not possible, 'cause, well it's Secret." Chris said, wanting to break the silence.
"He could have been here before. Just think how many people have come and gone." Sabbrielle said thoughtfully.
"But why would anyone want to do anything to hurt us?"
"People have left the board because of arguments."
"Those are usually resolved even after they have left the board."
"We've checked all but one place in the Secret Adobe." Sabbrielle said, getting off her throne and walking toward the door as Chris followed.
"Where is that?" Chris asked but was answered by the basement door openeing and Sabbrielle walking through it, and down the steps.
"You can't go in there, Sabbrielle!"
"Why not? This is the place that is most logical for him to hide. It's so large and even we don't really know what's down here."
"That's exactly why you can't go. You could get lost, just take another look at Ph19's journal. She could have died in there."
"I'd rather die than see the Secret Adobe fall into the hands of the Imposter." Sabbrielle declared as she started down the steps.
"I didn't want to have to do this but it's for your own good." Chris grabbed her and tried to sling her over his shoulder.
"Hey, put me down! You can't treat a Queen this way!" Shouted Sabbrielle as Chris attempted to pick her up.
KERWALLOP!
Sabbrielle hit Chris over the head with her scepter. "You of all people should know you couldn't get away with doing something like that!"
"Well at least you're not going to go down there and die!" Chris said backing up stratgically bringing Sabbrielle away from the door.
She held her scepter high getting ready to kerwallop him again.
"Watch me! No wait, that's not what I mean. What I mean is you can't stop me from protecting this place!" Sabbrielle shouted as she stomped back toward the door.
"Yes I can." Chris said simply as he waved his scepter at the door and it shimmered for a few seconds and disappeared.
"OOOH!" Sabbrielle screamed in frustration as she went off to search for the door to the basement. "I'll find it! I know you zapped it somewhere!" She yelled as she stormed through the halls flinging open doors.
Chris chuckled to himself, knowing she would never find it. The door was still exactly where it had stood only moments before, except now it looked just like the wall.
Chapter 4: The First Siege Part 2
The forest grew incredibly foggy. Storm clouds had formed a terrible storm.
"This is perfect!" The Imposter hissed as it turned into a patch of fog. "There is enough power here for me to continually draw on for years! All I have to do is get rid of that pesky boy and this will become my fortress! It also seems drawing power from this place has a strange effect on the forest. I can use that to my advantage." The Imposter hissed as he floated away. He blended in with the fog as the perfect camouflage. He floated through the forest, right past the ewoks and into the palace. When the Imposter entered every light in the place went out except for a single candle right next to Zackary.
"What's going on? Sinokoo what's going on?" Zackary asked his ewok. The ewok just simply shrugged his shoulders. Thunder rumbled and lightening flashed outside the window. "This is so creepy, nothing like this has ever happened before."
Zackary got up and walked out of his throne room and into the main hall. The candle floated next to him so he could see a foot or two ahead. Thunder rolled and as the lightening flashed. Zackary saw a mist floating through a window near the doors.
"This place has a ward against fog entering like that. Something's wrong," Zackary muttered to himself.
The rain pelted the castle extremely loudly and the thunder shook the walls. Lightening flashed and the mist was gone. Figuring it was a trick of the eyes, Zackary turned around to see himself in black robes that mirror his own turquoise right in front of him. Zackary gasped as he saw himself grinning evilly. He turned to run, and as he did, he saw the glint of something metal in the candlelight. Zackary bolted up the stairs with Zackary right behind him. Zackary was running toward the end of the hall when he thought he saw another one of him, but to his relief I was just a mirror. In the mirror, to his horror he saw himself running behind him with a giant jagged blade. He had to speed up but the robes made it hard to run, so he turned into a separate hall. Running down that corridor he formed a plan. At the end of that hall Zackary could go left or right. He faked a left hoping to throw off himself but turning right in his robes made him trip. Zackary was right over him now, he raised the blade and thrust down.
