The 300's: New Faces, Only One to Stay
Two friends have just figured out that each other exist: Fleur Delacour and Hermione Granger. Hermione Granger later became known as The Real Hermione Granger, because Briana had changed her name to Hermione_Girl66. We now call her TRHG, instead of writing the whole thing out. I pronounce it "Thurg" which is wrong, I know, but sometimes that may cause the occasional spelling error of "THRG," which would make her "The Hermione Real Granger".
There is an incedent, in posts in the future, where someone named Bob makes a rude appearance. In the 300's, there is someone named Bob who posts relavent posts. Could these people be the same? One of the MB's unanswered questions. Here is one of the firstly names Bob's posts:
Hi there all you Harry Potter Fans. This is "Peeves" back to spread around a bit more "immaturity". The fact that you call me peeves shows your immaturity as you describe people as characters from childrens' books. All I am is a word of sensibility in this chaotic place because
YOU'RE ALL INSANE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
If you want to correct me on this as I'm sure you do you notice I did put my e-mail address on there this time so if you have any questions, comments or you just like to criticize people because you have a pointless life which you spend coming up with theories about childrens books then go ahead and write me bob!
I cannot show one of the other Bob's posts, because the language and content in them got them deleted.
Anita Skeeter has declaired her theories as "Epiphanys!" Just one more way that Anita Skeeter is different than all the rest.
The theories in this time are centered around Harry's chances with Ginny. There are basically two opinions: One is that Harry and Ginny are too age-differenced to become girlfriend & boyfriend. That idea is supported by Azrael, Erick, and halvely by Anita. The other common opinion is that Harry and Ginny will end up together. This idea is supported by the majority of the MB.
Another greatly-looked theory is that Snape loved Lily. Not much more to be said. Anita Skeeter coined this one, and many people think that she is correct about it, but an equal lot think that is never happened, never is going to happen, never thought about it happening.
A big contributer to the discussion of the 300s is Mrs. Weasley. She has a head on her shoulders, she does. Here is one of her more brilliant posts:

I was curious, how did, rather WHO gaves James Potter his invisibility cloak? Dumbledore gave it to Harry and he said that it was James's when James was at Hogwarts. So who's was it? I guess htis fits in with the family connection, you know his brothrs, sisters, parents, aunts, uncles, cousins--at least one or two still have to be alive, its hard to believe that everyone in his family is dead.
Now for the reason I think Harry was given to the Dursleys, how he made it through eleven years, and WHY he has to go back there every summer. That answer is simple--Fidelis Charm.
My suspicious is that Dumbledore applied a fidelis charm on the Dursleys home when Harry was dropped at the doorstep, otherwise Harry would have been found and killed by one of Voldemorts supports long before he was old enough to go to Hogwarts. This is also why he must endure the hell of living when them during the summer, even thought he would rather live with the Weasley's.
On another note, I was slightly disappointed when Harry gave the galleons to the twins, I would have liked him to give it to Mr and Mrs Weasley for a new car--since the Ford Anglia was running wild through the Forbidden Forest at Hogwarts!

#328 - Harry/Snape and mutual respect--yes, I can see some kind of change in their relationship from now on. Dumbledore has more or less insisted to all those in the inner circle: "I trust Snape, and I want you to work with him." And Harry does follow Dumbledore's lead. I will be intrigued to see how this develops.
#331 - Anita - we'll see with the next book. I kinda hope, though, that Rowling does something more original than a love triangle between Snape-James-Lily or a "No, Luke - I am your father!" scene that some have suggested might be possible between Harry and Voldemort. From personal experience as a writer, I can testify that a good writer will consider the first four or five ideas that come to him/her--and reject them. They're the obvious ones, the ones absorbed from TV, movies, the popular culture. An original writer, a great writer keeps going, finding something even more twisty to explain things (like the Barty Crouch Jr/Mad Eye Moody Polyjuice potion plotline). That's when it really gets fun.
#334 - Basha - Does Snape know other Death Eaters? I believe someone discussed later that Karkaroff suggested that Voldemort held his cards pretty close to his vest--none of them knew all the other Death Eaters. I gather Snape was cleared by the Ministry of Magic, and so they're pretty sure he told them everything he knew. He might have volunteered to take veritaserum to prove it.
#335 - what Mike said.
#336 - James might have been a troublemaker but he was still a stellar athlete and probably made good grades. He probably had a great deal of personal charm, too. Head boy (and girl) I imagine are not just good students, but leaders.
When Ron said Percy was acting weird, I believe that was in Book 2. The reason was later revealed that Percy had starting a relationship with Penny Clearwater. Budding adolescent relationships do indeed make teenagers weird.
I could see Percy getting into trouble later on, however, meaning, he could sucked into trouble with Voldemort before he realizes what's going on. He seems to have difficulty seeing the big picture because he keeps obsessing over details.
#338 - the idea that Ginny, two years younger, is too young for Harry (and someone who objects later that Cho, a year older, is too old for him). I think those age differences will become less significant as the gang grows up. Puberty makes ANYTHING possible. Note, though, that since Cho is a year older than Harry, at the very least she won't be around during Harry's last year (book 7) which means, that unless something changes, her role will be diminished somehow (killing her off would certainly do that). And for those of you pining to see Harry and Hermione get together, you're ignoring the fact that J.K. Rowling has clearly stated in interviews that Harry and Hermione will NOT get together--their relationship is like brother and sister. She seems to hint that Hermione will get together with somebody, and her hints to me sound like it's going to be Ron--although it could be Victor. I don't see that happening, though, unless she really develops Victor in future books. I also don't see it happening, because she also said that in Book 4, "everyone falls for the wrong people," which hints that the right pairings will come later; i.e., Harry's infatuation with Cho, Hermione's with Victor, and Ron's with Fleur all have no future. I still put bets on Ron/Hermione and that Harry will either end up with Ginny or nobody.
#349. Where's the Bloody Baron when we need him?
#352. Uh . . . I don't think scars are passed down genetically.
#355 - Ginny playing Quidditch--that's a really good idea!
#356 - I don't remember Snape ever mentioning Lily. James, yes. Lily, no.
#359 - Good point: where did James get the invisibility cloak? I believe in some of Rowling's interviews she has said we're going to learn more about Harry's grandparents in future books, and we know that James, at least, came from a wizarding family.
Also - what Harry should have done with the galleons--the joke shop was a good solution. I rather thought he might offer them to Diggory's parents to fund a scholarship to Hogwarts in memory of Cedric (or to Dumbledore for the same purpose if the Diggorys would accept them). On the other hand, I dunno--maybe Cedric would have appreciated a joke shop, too.
#363 - I suspect this message is going to let me claim the Most Long Winded One for the night.
#364 - I agree.
#366 - Sorry, I just don't see anything in the books so far to support Creevy Boys Go Bad.
I'm intrigued with Mrs. Figg - presumably the Arabella Figg that Dumbledore mentions at the end of Goblet of Fire (and thanks to the people posting on this board--I wouldn't have caught that if it weren't for you). If Harry's babysitter is indeed Dumbledore's Arabella Figg, then she seems to be one of the few not in awe of Harry--he never picked up on any sense that she doted on him in any way. In fact, he didn't like her--he thought of her as rather strange (i.e., making him look at the albums of her cats). Maybe she was acting. Or maybe she really does look at things in a sideways fashion. I presume we'll find out next book.
Phew. This has gone on long enough.

Her post is post number 368.
William Potter, the person who had the honor of being the first person ever to post, came back again! He has claimed post numbers 378 and 379.
It is post 392; Peanut has the most accurate time-line that I have seen. Observe:
Okay, I needed some frame of reference here. Please keep in mind that the dates may be slightly off:
1926 - Riddle is born; Riddle's witch mother dies; Riddle Sr. lives with elder Riddles.
1929 - Hagrid is born.
1942 - Hagrid, in his third year, gets expelled; Riddle, Slytherin heir, opens Chamber of Secrets and writes diary; Riddle is in his seventh year; Dumbledore is a professor.
1944 - Riddle kills his father and grandparents.
1945 - Dumbledore defeats Dark Wizard Grindelwald
1957 to 1960 - Lily and James are born.
1974 to 1977 - Lily and James are in their seventh year and are head boy/girl; Dumbledore is headmaster at this point.
1980 - Harry is born.
1981 - The Potters are killed by Voldemort: Black is soon in Azkaban; Pettigrew hides as Scabbers.
1983 to 1987 - Trials are held including one in which Crouch Jr. gets sentenced for the torture of the Longbottoms.
1991 - Harry's first year at Hogwarts; Voldemort finds vehicle for formless body in Professor Quirrell.
1992 - Harry's second year; Hagrid is cleared.
1993 - Harry's third year; Black escapes and proves innocence to Harry and Dumbledore (at the very least); Petigrew/Wormtail escapes and spends summer in service to Voldemort.
1994 - Harry's fourth year; Crouch Jr. escapes father and serves year as Moody (soul sucked by dementor); Voldemort gains power and form.
Well! Eri, Padfoot, Briana, and Erick seem like the most long-lived regulars at the moment!
