About Brandon's Foundation
Our Mission The mission of MBYCCF is to broaden the awareness of childhood cancer and assist in bringing about a cure.
  • To raise funds for medical research of specific childhood cancer diseases.
  • To have a direct effect on promoting legislation to protect families jobs when an extended leave of absence is required due to a serious illness of a child.
  • To raise donations from key contributors to provide families with funds for food, lodging, and additional medical expenses.
  • To recognize medical professionals, such as: Doctors, nurses, researchers, social workers, and others for their devotion and dedication to the world of childhood cancer through annual awards from the foundation.
  • To have hospitals dedicate one day a year for promotion of awareness of childhood cancer through our ribbon remembrance. To have annual Bone Marrow and Blood drives to assist in the cure of Childhood cancers.

Our Goals

 

  • Provide research funds for cancer vaccinations of specific childhood cancers.
  • Provide research data as requested for a patient or patient’s family on specific cancers and or treatment options to discuss with their doctor.
  • Assure quality control mechanisms are in place at children hospitals providing oncology care services.
  • Provide credits to families for parking on clinic and hospital visit days .
  • Provide credits to be allocated to patients for special (new) furniture for comfort at home and or school due to muscle damage from chemo therapy treatments.
  • Provide Wheelchairs for those that cannot afford or be reimbursed from other organizations, such as American Cancer Society/ACS.
  • Provide laptops computers for child cancer patient rooms for school studies and their entertainment.
  • Develop "NO SMOKING "programs in our nations Middle and High schools Managed by children to enforce cigarette laws and education on cancer prevention.

About Brandon's Foundation

Brandon's Foundation (formerly known as The Michael Brandon Young Childhood Cancer Foundation, Inc.) is an independent, non-profit health organization with 501(c)3 status (IRS tax exemption). We are seeking to raise funds to provide direct educational and financial support to children with cancer and their families. We hope to raise enough funds to make a substantial impact on the need for and execution of childhood cancer research programs.

We are currently involved with the Pediatric Hematology/Oncology and Bone marrow transplant units at Duke University and Egleston Children’s hospital at Emory University. Brandon's Foundation serves the children diagnosed with cancer before the age of 21 and their families throughout the United States.

  • Brandon's Foundation was founded by a child stricken with cancer 4 times in 5 years.
