Minor Earthquake Hits French Settlement, Near Gonzales
USGS scientists said the quake hit near French Settlement and nine miles east of Port Vincent, registering a 3.0 on the Richter scale (Monday, December 19, 2005 at 6:52:20 PM = local time at epicenter).  The Port Vincent Police Department said no one reported feeling the quake.
