SELF-SUGGESTION

Let us start with "mind Power". This is a subject very rarely considered, but knowledge of this tremendous power is essential to the success of any individual.

Each man's mind is conscious and subconscious. The subconscious is reckoned to be one-seventh, i.e. practically all the working of your mind is going on without you knowing it. Now if you have a strong desire to get something (or somewhere)and have willed to bring this about, your subconscious forces go into action immediately. Unseen thought forces are marshalled and persons and circumstances are presented (AS IF BY MAGIC), to contrive to bring about the desired result. The greater the desire the quicker the chance of fulfilment. Here we have MIND IN ACTION.

The first important point to remember is that "Thoughts are things", "You are what you think", "You can get what you think". If you think Health and Success, Health and Success will be yours. If you think Gloom, Failure and Misery, these will also be yours. These are infallible laws and even the Scriptures have made reference to this law, "Alas, What I have thought has come to pass".

It is evident, therefore, that if you change your thinking you change your actions. Eliminate now all negative forms of thinking and substitute by strong, positive thoughts. Forget now about Failure, Gloom, Misery etc. Start thinking Health, Success, Wealth, Power etc. Dismiss the word "Can't" and substitute it by "I can do what I will to do" - "I can get what I will to get". Commit these two powerful affirmations to memory and repeat them over and over again to yourself. Start looking on the bright side from now on - Cultivate optimism. Now to create success - "Thought manifests itself in action". Thought attracts to itself circumstances, persons and things in harmony with itself. (Birds of a feather, flock together!).

To succeed in any undertaking, keep before your eye a clear MENTAL PICTURE of what you desire. Picture the things desired and yourself as securing them, until they become almost real.

Develop the "Success Attitude". Make constant use of self-suggestion. Repeated self-suggestions impress the subconscious mind, setting into motion unseen forces to get you results. The more you believe the quicker the results. The subconscious mind will work wonders for you if you have faith. Have no doubts about the ultimate result. Doubts only hamper the work of the subconscious mind. Repeat over and over again such affirmations as:

"I AM A CENTRE OF INFLUENCE AND POWER" ; "MY PERSONALITY GETS MORE AND MORE IRRESISTIBLE" ; "NO ONE CAN RESIST MY WILL" ; "I AM ATTRACTING TO MYSELF CONSTANTLY MORE MONEY" (HEALTH, BUSINESS OPPORTUNITY, FRIENDS etc.) ; "I AM FILLED WITH CONFIDENCE" ; "I AM FEARLESS" etc.

You can make your own affirmations to suit your own conditions. These auto-suggestions must be repeated as often as possible to impress the subconscious mind. The subconscious is mot impressionable just before falling asleep and on waking. At these times you should increase your self-suggestions and ORDER your subconscious mind to bring about what you want.

For instance, if you want knowledge of a certain subject, you say something like this . . . . "MY SUBCONSCIOUS MIND, I COMMAND YOU TO SET IN MOTION FORCES TO GET ME KNOWLEDGE OF . . . ? I WANT THIS DONE QUICKLY - GET TO WORK!" Another example for the man in business could be . . . "MYSUBCONSCIOUS MIND, SET IN MOTION MIGHT FORCES TO BRING TO ME MORE BUYERS OF MY GOODS," If you require better health you say something like this . . . "MY SUBCONSCIOUS MIND, I COMMAND YOU TO ENSURE THAT EVERY PART OF MY BODY (INTERNAL AND EXTERNAL) HAS GOT TO GET STRONER, HEALTHIER, MORE EFFICIENT - GET TO WORK AND BRING ABOUT WHAT I DESIRE."

Whatever you want you can have -- likewise, if you believe you can do something, you can do it. It is belief in yourself that will enable you to achieve your goal. Whatever you want just believe that you have it and you will get it. Belief will marshal unknown powerful forces to bring about the desired result. Make use of self-suggestions. These impress the subconscious mind, setting into motion unseen forces to get you results. The more you believe -- the quicker the results.

Start now to use this kind of invisible power -- subtle influence. All you have to do is to BELIEVE sincerely that such powers of mind exist, and that what you believe will come to pass. Money (or anything else) can also be attracted by your thought. Get the picture of what you desire and keep on repeating to yourself that you are going to get it.

Here we have the secret of the Biblical phrase, "ask and ye shall receive, seek and ye shall find, knock and it shall be opened."

UNCOMMON KNOWLEDGE - It is most important to note that bussiness activity should be varied according to the lunar phases. The luminous fortnight (from the new to the full moon) is favourable to enterprise and to original ideas and to all your working efforts for future results. Launch your sales campaigns during this period. This is the period for "sowing".

You can test this for yourself. Fresh enterprise or initiative taken during the dark fortnight seldom give happy results. (Some of the biggest business disasters have taken place during this dark period).

Also note that for better results make sure that when you work or in a business discussion you should always face East.

CONTROL BY PSYCHIC FORCE :

We are continuously receiving and sending out thoughts. Some of us can instantly "catch the thoughts of others". Thought-transference is a well-known fact.

Suppose you want to influence someone to do something. First, make up your mind that you will make him do exactly what you want. Make a clear mental picture of him doing exactly what you want. Keep this mental picture before you at all times - in his presence or when you are away from him. Put though behind your words.

This procedure forms the basis of all psychic influence which is swift-acting and very effective. It will enable you to control nearly everyone and get them to do the things you want them to do. If someone is trying to upset your plans, or is proving difficult etc., make a clear mental picture of the person and then proceed as if one were in the actual presence of the person. Tell the person forcibly that he has no power to influence you - to upset your plans etc. Tell him you deny his power out of existence.

As a further example, if you know the person you are to interview in connection with a certain proposition, ACT OUT the interview, in which you dominate the situation. You will set in motion unseen forces in the subconscious mind of that person. Here, some words of caution -- this psychic influence is a tremendous power. Do not use your FULL strength on people. If moderate force is employed they are stimulated and want to do the things you wish. If you exert too much strength they are startled by your force and are liable to severe headaches, restless nights, metal depression, melancholy feeling, etc.

ONLY use psychic influence for legitimate purposes, and never work it for selfish or evil purposes. If people try to control you then you have a right to assert yourself. Always remember that what we send out we receive back again one day. If we are constantly doing evil and harming others, evil and harm (with DOUBLE interest) will come back to us. If we wish others good fortune, good health, success, etc., these will come back to us.

You can safeguard yourself against this type of psychic influence by your own mental attitude. Repeat to yourself, "I AM MASTER OF MYSELF", "NO ONE CAN INFULENCE ME ADVERSELY", "I AM ABSOLUTELY POSITIVE", "I AM MASTER OF ANY SITUATION", "I AM POWERFULL", "PEOPLE FEEL MY POWER INSTANTLY", etc.

Believe in your powers. These rules only fail to operate when you lose confidence in yourself.

MIRRORMethod: Stand in front of a mirror, preferably a full length one. Look at your reflection then at your eyes and tell yourself (in a loud voice) what you want. Practice these 3 or 4 times a day. Tell yourself while looking in the mirror that you will be brilliantly successful, healthy, powerful, etc., and put feeling into your performance. This is a powerful method for impressing the subconscious mind. Politicians, businessmen, actors, orators, salesmen, etc., have been know to use this technique. The mirror method will increase the power of your eyes, improve your personality and confidence. It can also help to overcome poor posture. It will help you to build yourself into the sort of person you wish to be and assist in increasing your influence over other people. For examp.le, if you are a salesman, use the mirror method to imporve your sales. Look into the mirror and tell yourself that your sales are going to expand 'X' times and that nothing will stop this from taking place.

THE MAGNETIC EYES:

You can exert great influence on another by use of your eyes. In an interview always fix your gaze on the root of your client's nose, except when he speaks, quickly shift the gaze to his month.

EXERCISES TO DEVELOP MAGNETIC EYES -

To test your eye strength, the next time you are in the street or in a cineam, fix your gaze between the shoulder blades of a stranger and WILL him to look around. If you have powerful eyes he will feel uncomfortable and start fidgeting and will turn his head in our direction.

To develop Magnetic Eyes:-

(1) Place a coin on a table and gaze at it.

(2) Shift your gaze rapidly from object to object.

(3) Take any elongated object and move your gaze up and down in the slowest possible time.

(4) Gaze at the root of your nose while looking in a mirror. Keep up the gaze for a minute to start with, and increase period to 10 minutes.

(5) Make it a point to gaze at the root of the nose of a person when you speak to him.

After carrying out exercises (1) to (4), bathe the eyes with cold water.

KNOW YOUR MAN

The following information will be found very useful to quickly determine the characteristics of a person.

Observe the Walk -- A heavy stride denotes good morals. An arrogant stride belongs to the bluffer. A light step denotes secretiveness and can also indicate dishonesty. A brisk step belongs to people with plenty of drive. A hesitating stride denotes nervousness and slight degree of unreliability.

Observe the Lips -- It is easier to do business with a man with full lips. A man with a thin lower lip is hard and of a selfish character - will drive a hard bargain.

Observe the Nose -- A straight nose - a straight nature. An uptilted nose - impudence. A nose that is ugly and flat at the tip denotes great intelligence. The nose with drooping tip - pessimiatic nature.

Observe the Eyes and Ears -- The secretive, narrow-minded type has close-set eyes. Large ears sticking out a little indicate intelligence. Small ears denote the liars and bad friends. Pointed ears dishonesty. Ears low in the head - low in character.

Observe the Hands -- Owners of long-fingers are the thoughtful type who want time to make up their minds. Short-fingered folk are very quick. Next, note the thumbs. The length denotes intelligence. A long straight thumb, stiff at the joint (i.e. one that does not bend back at the joint) indicates firmness. This type needs a lot of persuading. On the other hand, the possessor of a supply thumb (i.e. one bending backwards at the joint), is inclined to be impulsive and changeable. Endeavour, therfore, to finalise your business with him before you leave. This type is more approachable than the former type, and generally is more friendly and seems to get on well with everyone. He is more generous, is easier to do business with.

Next, observe the fingers.---If the first is extremely long, this indicates a desire to dominate. A crooked little finger is an indication of craftiness and shrewdness in money matters and in business. Beware of the man who has a soft, flabby palm. This type generally is insincere, lazy, sensual, and apt to tell lies. Also, most unpunctual. Get everything from him in writing.

The possessor of a hand with soft palm and also with crooked little finger is one of the worst types to encounter in business (slick criminality).

Long fingers indicate love of detail - short fingers less thoughful and thorough in their work - thick, clumsy and coarse fingers, lacking in refinement. Fingers found curved inwards and stiff denote timidity and cautious nature. If fingers are reversed of this, the possessor of these is more open-minded and comes to conclusions quicker. Fingers so supple and loose-jointed that they can be bent over almost to the back of the hand indicate too much "open-mindedness". Have poor memories. Jump to conclusions too quickly, change from one thing to another.

Stiff fingers are slow in absorbing knowledge, but ones grasped hold on to it tenaciously.

The termination of the four fingers also gives a good guide. If they are all close together and there are no gaps between, they indicate secretiveness.

If the fingers are fat at their termination (bases), a high degree of intuition is indicated, but the possessor demands luxury in drinking, living and eating. This type must be wined and dined.

If the owner of a hand with an exceptionally long third finger, equal to the second, goes to extremes in taking chances and will gamble with everything.

Fingers very pointed from base to tip belong to those who act on impulse - unreflected type of mind.

Persons with very large hands do the finest work (i.e. precision work), and have small handwriting. Persons with small hands go in for large ideas. Detest details and handwriting is generally large and bold.

Short finger nails belong to critical type of person. Long finger nails belong to placed and calm type of person. Nails more broad than long belong to person who is quarrelsome and irritable. Takes offence at little things.

HANDWRITING : Generally speaking the fast writers have more enthusiasm, zeal and ambition than the slow writers. Those whose writing slants to the right must have company. They want to be among people. They like them and cannot be without them. This type make good (outside) salesman. Tall people make good salesman - they seem more agreeable than short men. Today, some firms will not employ high-level executives without consulting handwriting experts. Other firms send specimens of their intending clients to these experts for summing up their integrity etc.
