The Tale of the Scrimshaw Heart
This is a little white plastic heart shaped box, that I picked up at an actual Five and Dime store in Kansas City, Missouri, down in Brookside.
The flower pattern idea came from a gardening book, and was made by making scratches into the polished surface of the box, and rubbing ink into it. That's about all there is to scrimming. It became a wedding gift for a co-worker.
