About Me
I'll never forget the day I got my little Himalayan girl.
It was January 30th 1999. I had be thinking about getting a cat for quit a while. Finally I decided I was just going to go and get one. I went down to the Humane Society in Tuftonboro New Hampshire to see what they had for cats. The lady that worked there brought me to the cat room. It was play time for all the cats, so they had let all the cats out of their cages to run around and play. I spent 3 hours picking up and petting many different cats. They were all so cute, I couldn't make up my mind on which one to get.
After a few hours of trying to decide, I happened to look over and seen this beautiful cat sitting down all by herself in a corner of the room. I hadn't noticed her before because all the other cats were running around meowing and playing together. She was so quit sitting there all by herself. I walked over to her, she was so cute just sitting there as quit as can be. I petted her a little, then picked her up. She looked up at me and let out a little meow. I looked into those big beautiful blue eyes of hers and knew at that moment she was the one I wanted.
I signed the adoption papers and brought her home. I brought her in the room I had prepared for her where her food and little bed to sleep on was. I opened up the cat carrier to let her out. She didn't know what to do, she just stayed laying down in the carrier. So I reached in and took her out. I sat down in the middle of the floor and just watched her as she slowly walked around the room sniffing everything, checking everything out. After about 10 minutes she looked at me and climbed on my lap. She laid down and I petted her. She started to purr so loud. I couldn't believe how lovable she was and how she was so comfortable around me so quickly. I was so happy I had gotten her. Her fur was so soft and there was so much of it, I decided to name her Fluffy. From then on, I've felt we have a very special relationship.
