On page 196 of the census index you will find several names either the spelling of McCauley, McCaulia,McCaulley, McCauly, McCawly, and McClay. You might want to check these names out if you are having trouble finding a relative. The spelling may be different than what you are looking for.

On page 200 of the index, there is a T.M. McElwer Hot Springs County, page 1014. He is listed as a school teacher.
