A note about Darien/Mamoru and Serena/Usagi's relationship is that it doesn't seem to be very close when it is. Darien isn't very romantic and is a quiet guy who sticks to himself. When in a relationship, like the one with Serena, he doesn't need to cuddle but just to spend time with his girl. Serena on the other hand needs a lot of intertaction and cuddles because she is still a young girl. When they go out together she enjoys the places and he enjoys spending time with her and making her happy. They love each other but are at different levels. She wants a very expressive love and Darien is not really an expressive guy. I don't think he even minds her being so flighty, confused about what he knows, and silly. He knows she loves him and is secure in it while Serena wonders sometimes. Serena gets very jealous because she doesn't understand how Darien loves her. Darien never really gets a time that he needs to worry about her excpt in (spoiler) the case of Three Lights(can't remember how to spell his/her name). They aren't together just because it's fate or something like that but because they have a bond that draws them together. Even in the first season when he was always picking on her, he picked on her because of that bond. He didn't understand what he felt. Obviously Serena gets older and more mature eventually. Seeing as they get married and she is a came and serene woman. I like them as a couple best because of how odd it seems that they are together. In Sailor Moon R Serena is supper hyper still and Darien is still unexpressive. Love is amazing. Instead of their differences tearing them apart they bring out the best in each other. Oh well, I suppose I'm a hopeless romantic. Feel free to have a different opinion concerning their relationship.
