Deed William D. McKee to H. B. Bowie State of South Carolina Know all men by these Presents that I, Wm D. McGhee, of the County of Abbeville in the state affairs for and in consideration of the sum of Fourteen Dollars to me in hand paid at and after ___________ [berg] and delivery and the further sum of twelve dollars to be used in paying expenses of my funeral when I die by Henry B. Bowie of the County of Abbeville in the state aforesaid the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged have granted, bargained, sold and released and by these presents do grant, bargained, sell and release unto the said Henry B. Bowie all that tract or parcel of land situated lying and being in Abbeville County in the state aforesaid containing Six Hundred and one half acres more or less and bounded by the lands to Peter Henry, Turner Ellis, Henry B. Bowie. Together with all and singular the rights, members heard it and appurtenances to the said premises belonging or in anywise incident or appertaining. To Have and to Hold all and Singular the premises before mentioned and released unto the said Henry B. Bowie his Heirs and assigns forever and I do hereby bind myself, my Heirs, Executors and administrators to warrant and Forever defend all and singular the said premises unto the said Henry B. Bowie, Heirs and assigns against myself and my heirs or any and every person lawfully claming or to Claim the same or any part thereof. Witness my hand and seal this 20th day of November AD 1875 and in the one-hundredth year of the Independence of the United States of America. Signed and Delivered in the presence of A. L. Bowie, G.
