  #293 - HUGH E. McKEE [this was a son of Wm.Seth McKEE] - Died intestate; Letters of Administration 19 Jun 1855; ELIZABETH McKEE relinquished right to administer in favor of George HAVERSTICK. Heirs: WILLIAM G. McKEE, aged about 3 years & WASHINGTON McKEE, aged about 15 months.  General inventory included 80 acres in Twp.40, Rng.5 conveyed to deceased 22 Mar 1851 by WILLIAM S. McKEE & wife.

 

  #1001 - JOHN McKEE [son of Wm.Seth McKEE] - Died intestate; Letters of Administration 16 Mar 1870.  Heirs: ELISABETH McKEE, the widow; SAMUEL, HUGH P; FRANCIS; JAMES N; EVA J?; EDGAR; & WALTER McKEE.  ELISABETH relinquished right to administer the estate to D.F. McKEE.  80 acres in Sec.30, Twp.40, Rng.5.

 

  #1447 - HARVEY McKEE [full name was ADAM HARVEY McKEE per tombstone referred to in file; son of Michael McKEE, Sr] - Bill for tombstone (cost $35) shows he was born July 13th, 1811 and died March 30, 1880.  The executor was James McMULLEN and on 30 Mar 1880, HARVEY willed to James C. McMULLEN his land (40 acres SE SW qtr. Sec.3, Twp.40, Rng.3E), 2 horses, 1 cow, 3 hogs & all the household furniture...all the corn now gathered & all the wheat growing on said farm.  Except for purchases at the sale by DOC McKEE there is no mention of McKEEs in the folder.  The residence was on Dry Creek and burial was at Pilgrim's Rest Cemetery.

 

  #1448 - SAMUEL McKEE [son of WILLIAM SETH McKEE & my great-grandfather] - Died 1877.  The administrator was CHARLES W. McKEE [his oldest son].  Heirs: CATHARINE McKEE, widow; CHARLES W. McKEE; LEVI McKEE; THOMAS J. McKEE; JOHN D. McKEE, LOUIS A. McKEE [my grandfather]; LAMAR S. McKEE, AUSTEN J. McKEE and JESSE M. McKEE.  The land (80 acres in Survey 2126) was sold "to pay just debts" and the widow took the personal property. [no inventory or sale bill found in folder]

 

  #1551 - ELIZABETH McKEE [nee SIMPSON, widow of JOHN McKEE] - Died intestate in 1882.  FRANCIS McKEE, administrator.  File contains an inventory of personal property and sale bill but heirs not identified.  The value of personal property was $78.50 and after expenses, there was a balance of $14.49 to the estate.  Dr. Elders treated her.

 

  #1938 -  SETH G. McKEE [son of WILLIAM SETH McKEE] - The only document in the file is the administrative bond, dated 17 Jan 1888.

 

  #3802 - SETH W. McKEE [son of MICHAEL McKEE Sr by 2nd marriage] - Died intestate.  MILLIE A. McKEE [his widow] appointed administrix 18 Mar 1907.  Heirs: MILLIE A. McKEE, widow; THEODORE McKEE, SARAH McKEE THUESEN, LUCINA McKEE MANNION, JOHN E. McKEE, WINNIE McKEE OGLE and grand-daughter ESTER McKEE (daughter of WHITNEY McKEE, deceased).  Assets of the estate were a blind mare, buggy, harness, brown cow, $102.16 in notes and $200 cash in the bank.
