Spotlight on Moranne

She is a hardworking student at a historically black college in Virginia. She’s active in numerous clubs on campus, devotes her time to students as an English tutor, and is also an office assistant at a middle school. On top of all of that, she will soon be well on her way to becoming one of the country’s top public relations practitioners in the entertainment business. Who am I talking about, you may ask? Moranne Clarke! Moranne is a 20 year-old junior from Atlanta, Ga. who attends Hampton University. As mentioned before, public relation’s is the major that sparked her attention. Moranne chose public relations because the job has a variety of duties related to media.

In her spare time, Moranne participates in NCNW (National Council for Negro Women), PRSSA (Public Relations Student Society of America), which is no surprise, Georgia Pre-Alumni, and the NAACP (National Association for the Advancement of Colored People).

Even with all the clubs Moranne is involved in, she still has time to engage in extra-curricular activities, such as shopping, surfing the web, traveling, and reading. Her favorite Web site is www.collegclub.com. The thing Moranne enjoys most about the Internet is the ability to access an abundant amount of information at the click of a button. Unfortunately she feels that this amount of freedom can be a bit overwhelming with all the information available to us.

Keep an eye on Moranne Clarke because she is the future of public relations!
