| At Kids Affairs Saturday School, we specialise in the provision of weekly Saturday tuition focused on helping children prepare for, and attain their maximum potential in the KS1/KS2 SATs and 11+ Secondary School entrance exams. We are proud of the service we offer to our pupils, and strongly committed to helping them attain higher standards of educational achievement through the provision of high quality tuition, constant positive reinforcement and various motivational techniques. We offer tuition in English and Maths for those at the KS1 level, and English, Maths, Verbal and Non-Verbal Reasoning for those preparing for their 11+ and KS2 SATs tests. Our Curriculum Our English and Maths lessons are fully in line with the national literacy and numeracy strategies and cover all the fundamental aspects of each subject. Our Reasoning programme (verbal and non-verbal) is based on the Bond Assessment series, and involves teaching the children step-by-step strategies for tackling each type of question. Our Tuition Approach (A) Upon starting the Saturday School Programme, each new student is assessed to find the appropriate starting level for their relevant subject. (B) Tuition is provided in groups of up to 8 children with a qualified personal tutor. (C) Each term lasts an average of 14 weeks with a minimum of an hour per single subject per week. (D) All work is based on the national curriculum, and divided up into school syllabus levels. (E) Children are given weekly homework assignments that they are asked to complete with the assistance of their parents. Parents are requested to check and sign the homework. (F) End of term reports & Parent/Teacher meetings also help you monitor your child’s progress. |
