"William Riblett ...Was born in Bedford County, PA, Oct 5th, 1824 and moved to Cambria County PA in 1836. He has lived on the same farm for fifty-four years, on Laurel Run, four miles from Coopersdale. His father was one of the staunchest men of his time, a kind husband and father, and died in 1855. William B. worked at farming, cutting and hauling wood, and sawing lumber. He was always active in business. He married in 1848. Ten children blessed his home, three of whom are dead. The seven remaining are all married and living in the county, except one, who lives in Bedford. His mother has 310 great-grandchildren. " Taken from Atlas of Cambria County, authored by R.L.Johnston.
