James Ross served in the military. He was discharged during WW!! suffering from battle fatigue. James married a young woman named Margaret ??. They remained married until Margaret's death. James never worked, living on his disability payments. James and Margaret lived with his mother providing financial support for her. After Margaret's death, James moved to San Antonio, Texas to live with Margaret's niece. He later moved to California with this niece where he died. (notes from James Richard Martin)
Bessie Ross worked for the American Tobacco Company for 30 years. Bessie married James Seay and had several children, not all his. They were divorced and Bessie never Remarried. In her later years Bessie became senile. ...(notes from James Richard Martin)
Clarence Ross was born deaf. Clarence attneded th eWoodrow Wilson School for the Deft and Dumb where he received a high school equivalent degree. Because of his deftness, he could not speak clearly. Clarence also worked at American Tobacco Co and retired after 30 years. Clarence married a woman of questionable reputation. After about three months, they separated and divorced. Clarence never remarried and had no children. When he was about 60, he came down with TB. He was sent to the Blue Ridge Sanatorium at Charlottesville where he stayed until he died.
