NORMAL GUY
Lyrics by: Otterpop

They point their fingers and laugh and shout
Even though I'm giving it all that I got
The problem is I'm not the same
The problem is I don't play that game
They tell me that I'm all washed up
They tell me that I'm not "punk rock"
What I want to know: what is punk rock?
What I need to know what is punk rock?

What I want to know is, what I need to know
What I gotta learn, what I gotta find out
What I want to know is, what I need to know
Why am I just a normal guy?
(2x)

Hey Mister-Punk-Police-Guy
Don't judge me by the clothes that I buy!

(2x)

No matter what I do or say you judge me same
I'm tired of trying to fit into your stupid punk cliche'
(2x)

Am I just a normal guy?
Why do I even try?
(2x)

NORMAL GUY NOTES
Ann Arbor has an annual "Punk Week", organized by all the local punks for a week full of shows, parties, mud wrestling, and shopping cart races. After attending most of the punk week events, being in a band (Axis of Evil) and video taping stuff to create a documentary on the local punk scene, I was still called "Normal Guy" by some kids because I didn't dress the part. Well, if the only requirement to being a punk is to dress like a jackass, I don't want to be punk.
