TRUST FUND LIBERAL
Lyrics by: Otterpop

Upper class, middle-aged and white
You yuppie scum suburbanite
You think you'll heal the world's woes?
That's not how it's supposed to go!
"Save the rainforest" you say
But they are half a world a way
Greater problems exist at home
That you can't seem to face

Trust Fund Liberal! (3x)

You'll feed the starved in Africa
But not the starved in Detroit
I guess it's hard to think about food
When there's a silver spoon in your mouth

How good it must feel to cry about
The misfortunes of others
Knowing well that you will never
Experience their tragedy

Trust Fund Liberal! (3x)

How good it must feel to cry about
The misfortunes of others
Knowing well that you will never
Experience their tragedy

If you believed all the shit you spew
You'd give you Porsche to charity
But your politics don't go that far
Outside your comfort zone
Trust Fund Liberal! (3x)

TRUST FUND LIBERAL NOTES
There is something seriously wrong when you see a large, expensive, gas guzzling SUV going to Whole Foods Market to purchase an latte' made with organic coffee beans grown by unionized workers in far away places. The irony is clear. I see this every day - I live in Ann Arbor.

I'm sick and tired of seeing these trust fund liberals support causes in far away places, when there are problems right here at home. There are millions right here in the US who are starving and in need of homes, and they want to save the whales. FUCK THE WHALES.

Really what it all boils down to is fashion - the rich and privileged wear their causes like a mink coat. They really don't care about the cause, they'll support it because it's fashionable at the moment, and once it falls out of style they'll move on to a different cause.
