Dr Donohue flew to Perth this week after community members raised $6000 to cover his trip and expenses.

The doctor, who saw 29 people over two days, is writing a report and waiting on pathology results from tests he organised while here.

The Health Department was too busy explaining away sicknesses to get a handle on what was making people chronically ill.

Families were even being accused of poisoning their own children, he claimed.

Over 1500 contaminated sites are thought to exist in Western Australia (Department of Environmental

Protection, 1995a).
