Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer Requirements
Microsoft Certified Systems Engineers (MCSE) candiates on the Microsoft Windows 2003 track are required to pass seven exams, consisting of four networking system exams, one desktop operating system exam, one design exam, and one elective exam. The operating system exams require candidates to prove their expertise with desktop, server, and networking components. The elective exams provide a valid and reliable measure of technical proficiency and expertise in solution design and implementtion. MCSE candidates should also have at least one year of experience implementing and administering a network operating system, implementing and administering a desktop operating system, and designing a network infrastructure.
