At the beginning of the 2008-2009 school year, Mr. Jetter asked all elementary classes to begin each day with this "Highlander Pledge".  It remind us of the  behavior and actions we should expect from students and faculty who show pride in themselves and their school.  The pledge also ties in with our classroom rules below.
OUR HIGHLANDER PRIDE PLEDGE:

*  Do the Right Thing.

*  Learn something new everyday.

*Treat others the way you want to be treated.

*  Take responsibility for your own actions.
CLASSROOM RULES
Raise your hand to speak or ask a question.
Keep hands, feet, and all other objects to yourself.
Please respect others and their property.
Please listen and pay attention.
Work quietly and complete work in a timely manner.
GOLDEN RULE:  Be a friend to make friends!
CONSEQUENCES
Everyone starts the day on Green - Go for Good Behavior!

*The first disciplinary action for misbehavior is a
Verbal Warning.

*Color changed to Yellow - 10 laps at Recess
*Color changed to Red - Walk laps ALL during Recess
NAME IN THE BOX
If a student is caught being good, he/she will be asked to put his/her name in the box.  At the end of each day, I will draw two names (one boy, one girl) out of the box.  Those students will be allowed to grab from the treat box.  This is a very effective, positive way of reinforcing good behavior.
We always welcome donations to our "Treat Box."
(Please no food items, though)
