Welcome!! This is our first official newsletter after
elections of officers. The results are
as follows:

Meeting Dates: Tentatively, quarterly
meetings have been suggested. The next
meeting is scheduled for Saturday, April 15th at 1500 hours at the VFW Post on 620 North
Broadway, in
Member Info: Dues for the chapter have been set at
$10. This is to cover the costs of the
newsletters and any other chapter expenses.
Dues cover January to December of each year. Please send your checks in
now. If you have an email address and
would like to be contacted that way, please send it to the P.O. Box or to
Secretary Kathy Petras at kathyjp@hotmail.com.
Interviews: If you want to have your interview included
in Volume 1, submit to Julia Hach by the April 15th Meeting. This is the LAST CALL!!!
Memorial Day Parade: The parade date is May 29th
starting at 0930 and is usually finished by 1200. Please wear your uniform or a patriotic
outfit. Those interested in participating, please call Julia Hach by May 1st
so that drivers/transportation can be arranged.
WAVES National Convention 2000:Navy, Coast Guard and Marine
Veterans who would like to participate in the convention in
Newsletter Information: Any member with information
of interest to the general membership, please send to our P.O. Box with
attention to “Newsletter.” The newsletter is planned with quarterly mailings
following our meetings.
P.O. Box: The chapter has
Donations: Many individuals have donated time,
material, stamps, etc. for the start up of the chapter. Many thanks to Julia Hach,
Honorary Member and Kathy Petras for their donations to the chapter.
Veterans Day Dinner: Members of the chapter have
suggested a dinner get-together on Veterans Day. We are open for suggestions or ideas. Please contact an officer with yours!!
Chapter Expenses: Newsletter expenses total
approximately $25 per mailing, six mailings are planned for the year, the P.O. Box is $44/year (donated this year) and any
miscellaneous expenses which the chapter incurs. The officers would like to keep costs to a
minimum and participation to a maximum.
If you would like to donate time to any event or money to the chapter,
please contact an officer or send any correspondence to our P.O. Box. We look forward to hearing from you!
