TAPS
On Friday, October 5th, Julia Hach, our dear friend, founder,
historian and author proceeded to new horizons. Sharon Kiesel presented
a beautiful eulogy for Julia a t the funeral. Copies of Julia's funeral
eulogy will be available at the November 11th luncheon. All of us send
to her family our condolences. All of us will miss her tremendously.
Julia did leave us with her legacy…"The Book"…

MCWM Volume 1
The book has been published. All veterans who were in the book will
receive a complementary copy of the book courtesy of Julia. Orders
for the book are being taken. As more information on book sales is
obtained, we will inform you.

September 21 Meeting at the INN
An excellent turnout for the Fall Meeting. The INN was a lovely
place for the meeting and all present enjoyed the camaraderie.
Sharon Kiesel opened the meeting with the Pledge of Allegiance.
Guest speaker Jason McCourt spoke on veteran benefits available
from the VA. Presentation of the MCWM Vol. Book was made by Jennifer
Syme and Sharon Kiesel to those members present who were in the book.
Thank you, Julia. The meeting was videotaped by Sharon Nicholson.

Veteran's Day Luncheon
A reservation form is included in this newsletter for the November 11th
luncheon. Space is limited to 50 attendees. Please send your reservation
form to the P.O. Box by October 30th if you plan on attending. We are
expecting an excellent turnout for this annual event. The MCWW Vol. 1
will be available at the luncheon for those veterans in the book and
orders will also be taken at that time.

INC. Status
Incorporation status has been applied for to the State of Ohio and we
expect this to go through in the next 60-90 days. The official name
will be Medina County Women of the Military, Incorporated.

501C
We are currently working on obtaining a tax-exempt status for the
organization. This is a lengthy process so we will keep the membership
informed of the process.

Upcoming Elections
There are still vacancies for the following positions: Vice President,
Social, and Public Relations. If you are interested in participating,
please call Sharon Kiesel. When the work is spread out among many,
it is much easier to accomplish our mission. Join in the FUN!!

Fall Foliage Tour
MCWM had two tables at the Fall Foliage Tour. The Tour was a success.
Thank you to all the members that volunteered their time at our booths.
Eleven members participated as hosts at the National Cemetery Visitor's
Center and Granger Historical Society. A special thanks to Doris Ramey
for her organization of this two day event!

Donations
Donations to the organization have been coming in per Julia's request.
A card will be sent to her family in recognition of the sender. Future
newsletter will acknowledge these donations.
