This Sony minidisc player and recorder is easy to use, and its tiny packaging allows you to carry it in your pocket. The 40-second shock-resistant memory keeps the music output continuous, even through bumps or vibrations, because the laser scans ahead on the disc. The player comes with a Toslink-to-mini digital cable for connecting to a digital preamplifier or a CD, DAT, or other digital system. With synchronized digital recording, you can make digital copies of CDs onto a minidisc that begins recording when it receives the digital input signal. A one-button insert function allows you to record data with only two seconds of delay.
The sampling-rate converter allows minidisc recording from other digital media that have different sampling frequencies, automatically converting the recording to minidisc rate.
