ALWAYS rename a map when you modify it - otherwise you won't be able to tell the difference when you want to play it!
AI scripts will only work correctly when locations are NOT random.
Different comp AI on Brood Wars makes them a tougher enemy.
If you modify a map, give it a new name - like v2.0. It will get real confusing if you don't.
Insurrection CD from Aztech offers 100 multiplayer maps and 30 campaigns. Worth the $30 I think..
When in team play - try having one player cover the air, another cover the ground. Concentrating on 1 type of building order gives your forces more power!

Battlefix - Pings the servers of battle .net and finds the best for YOU - writes the server list in order of best connection for you and seems to help prevent "searching for B-net server lock". Read the help with it.

SERVERCRAFT2 - allows you to pick 2 other servers other than Battle.net to play on. A good option if B-net is being finicky.
