Needle felting:Is my preferred method for creating sculptures. Is a process to tangle wool fibers using a needle. Filting is done by the felting needle into wool rove. The needle has little groves that grasp fibers. When the needle is pushed into the wool, the grasped fibers are pushed through the rove and creates a tangling of the wool fibers. This needling motion is repeated many times and the wool will gather together and create a firm surface. |

Wet Felting:Is a preferred method for clothing, bags and shoes. It is also great when adding felted material around an item. Is a process of tangling wool using water, heat and pressure. The wool fibers are layered and massaged to work the fibers into each other and create a uniform surface of wool. |
