Just a ballad I had to write for class, it follows the standard ballad rhythem and rhyme schemes. |
Fated Day, This Friday of May |
Fated day, this Friday of May, When morning's light beams strong. The evil sub has come to stay To make our class hours long. Why must we be tortured this way, Living in fear of wrong, On this tragic, cursed Friday, And scarred all day long. The bell rings, blaring in out ears And down silent halls, Its horrid screaming lasting years, Warning of evil it calls. With a click and cold rushing air, The dark blue door slides open. We all wait to see how we'd fare, Now that hopes lie broken. The sub enters, all the lights dim. A storm gathers, winds blow. Our freedom destroyed on a whim By our widely known foe. |
Forth comes evil, a demon appears, Brought here by all our hate. With a cold smile, the sub leers, Able to alter fate. And then, scolding, the sub yells loud, The lines of fate are drawn. Insanity to make all hells proud, The sub is evil's pawn. In our souls, we see terrible doom. We all moan, disgusted, And find reasons to leave the room But we are not trusted. In silence we sit, utterly still: One whispers, a dare, The rest wait for red blood to spill And the sub's evil glare. At last, the blaring bells sing out: In joy we sing and prance, But looking at the clock we pout: That ringing was for attendance. |
writen about the evil substitute. everyone i know dislikes this sub with a passion. there are three bells: the first to get to class, the second is the late bell, the third tells teachers to begin taking attendance. the sub entered the classroom at the second bell. the room has a blue door. |
