Colorado, 2003

Erik Eid and I went to Colorado to visit Tara (a good friend of mine from high school days) and to get some much needed vacation. I was glad he could come along on the 20+ hr long drive and give me a break from driving when I needed it. It poured rain (and sometimes hail) through Nebraska and Idaho on the way there and back, which was miserable to drive in, but the weather while we were in Colorado was beautiful.

We didn't get to see Tara as much as we would have liked as she was in the midst of finals, but we did get to drive around the mountains a bit, and go to the Garden of the Gods, shop downtown, and Tara took us to the local cafe hidden by itself away from downtown. I relaxed a lot at the Hearthstone Inn, a cute little bed and breakfast near downtown Colorado Springs.

I had wanted to go guideless horseback riding, but there was a $500 deposit required, which made it a pain. One day it will happen though!
