8. Lula KELLAR
Not sure of the spelling of her name at all. She was one of the family that did not come to Texas. I think she died around the late 1930's or early 1940's. I know nothing of her family, but I think she was married and had at least one child.
10. Sedonia KELLAR
She was always called "Done"(rhymes with bone). I lived with her when I was in the 9th grade so I could go to a better school in Vidor, TX. Her second marriage (her first husband was killed or died) was to a Vern Neal. No children by either husband, but she had a child back in Mississippi. The woman's name is Rosa Lee is still alive. She lives in Slidell (Sp?), LA. Rosa Lee's husband's name is John Allen, and they had at least two kids, both boys I think. Aunt Done died Mar 27, 1997. I don't know where she was buried.
11. Edwena KELLAR
Aunt Edwena lived north of Vidor, TX near Aunt Done. Her first marriage (?) was to a LaCaze. I think they had two boys, Lloyd and Tommy. I think she ended up marrying some 13 or 14 times before she died several years ago.
12. Johnnie KELLAR
We always called him Uncle Johnnie, but his name could have been John. He married a woman named Lucille who looked like an Indian or Mexican woman to me. They had several children that the state finally took away from them. Uncle Johnnie could not read, write, or even sign his name. He also was what we called "tongue tied" - a bad speech impediment. A couple of his grandkids finally located him just before my Dad, June, died. They brought him to Dad's funeral. They lived in Beaumont, TX, and took Uncle Johnnie in until he died some years back.
13. Luther KELLAR
Uncle Luther never married and had no children as far as I know. He also was "tongue tied". He served in WWII as an MP and spent some time in Japan I think right after Japan surrendered. I remember him showing me a Japanese flag and sword he brought back. He is dead.
14. Louis KELLAR
Uncle Lewis served in the Merchant Marines during WWII, and had I think as many as 7 ships shot out from under him. When I was living with Aunt Done I remember him showing me a box full of ribbons he had been awarded, and a citation from President Truman. He spent some time in the "pen" for robbing a liqour store. He finally married probably in his 50's and ended up in Kirbyville, TX. No children as far as I know.
I called him when Dad died, and he jumped my b-u-t-t about something, I don't remember what now. I finally just hung up on him.
15. Eugenia KELLAR
Known as Didroe. I'm not sure of either spelling. If I remember correctly, she was the youngest. She married a Graham. They lived, and/or live in Evadale, TX. She may still be alive. To the best of my knowledge they had several children.
Estelle, one of Aunt Ardella's girls from Mississippi tried to go see her and Uncle Lewis a few years back to find out some family history, but they refused to let her in the house or talk to her.
Please Note: Some data given could be incorrect. I am relying on my memory.
16. Bertis KELLAR
Married Walter Golf. Lived 5 miles north of Vidor, TX near Aunt Sedonia "Done" for a number of years. Had a bunch of kids. Finally divorced, moved to Beeville, TX, and maybe married again. Killed in car wreak (?).
17. Helen KELLAR
Aunt Helen lived in Beaumont I think most of her life in Texas. She finally married a man named L.D. (?). She had no children and died a few years back of breast cancer I think.
