This lesson is about creation. The first day of creation saw the creation of the earth. Genesis 1:2 says "And the earth was without form, and void, and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the deep. And God said, "Let there be light; and there was light."
We see then that the formation of the earth took only one day, not millions of years as man’s theories say. The second day saw the creation of the heavens. We read of this in Genesis 1:6-8 which says "And God said ‘Let there be a firmament in the midst of the waters, and let it divide the waters from the waters. And God made the firmament, and divided the waters which were under the firmament from the waters which were above the firmament; and it was so. And God called the firmament Heaven. And the evening and the morning were the second day." The third day saw the plants and trees created and the fourth saw the stars and other heavenly bodies created. The fifth day saw the creation of the fish and whales, and other water creatures. Here again is a contradiction to evolution because it says that animals were created in order with amphibians evolving before reptiles, and reptiles before mammals. Whales are mammals and we are told they were created on the fifth day.as were water creatures and birds. The sixth day was the biggest day in creation because it was the day the land animals and man were created. Each form of life was given the ability to reproduce itself. This means that an apple can only produce an apple and a bird can only produce a bird. Man was God’s crowning achievement. Man was created in God’s image. What does this mean? It means that man was given a soul. Man is the only form of life which has a soul. God is a soul or spirit and man was created in God’s image. He was given a soul. Animals do not have souls and therefore lack the ability to think. Man however can make rational decisions. Man was given dominion over all the animals.
Man then was created along with all the land animals on the sixth day. The Bible says that God saw all that He had created and that it was good. Creation had taken less than a week. The Bible then says that God rested on the seventh day.
