Re: Subject Area Projects
____________________________________________________________________
Projects is one of the components of the students' grade in the Basic Education Curriculum with the allocated percentage weight in these subjects areas: Filipino, English, Mathematics, MAPEH - 25%; Science, Araling Panlipunan, T.L.E. - 20%; and Values Education - 15%.
This Office authorizes the Sauyo High School Multi-Purpose Cooperative to sell these instructional materials which constitute the project of each subject area:
English - Skill books
Filipino - Batikan (every grading period)
Science - Laboratory Manuals, perriodic tables
Mathematics - Workbooks, quiz noteboooks
Araling Panlipunan - Workbooks, maps
T.L.E. - Handicrafts
MAPEH - P.E. Uniform
Values Education - Workbbooks
No subject teacher should transact business directly with the supplier or the Cooperative. The teacher should coordinate his/her subject area head/chair regarding the orders to be made. The department head/chair will in turn coordinate with the Cooperative regarding the purchases to be made. Purchase of the workbooks and the above instructional materials from the Cooperative should be done by the students.
Please be reminded that the purchase of the above projects should be VOLUNTARY and should not be a basis for giving grades or reason for not allowing students to take any examinations.
Other projects aside from the ones mentioned can be initiated by the teacher PROVIDED NO AMOUNT WILL BE COLLECTED FROM THE STUDENTS.
Students who have P.E. uniform handed down from their brothers/sisters should not be required to buy their own.
To tap the potentials of our students, plays from outside productions will no longer be entertained. This is a way to develop the multiple intelligences of our local talents and our sense of pride.
Film showing can be done inside the classroom to facilitate understanding of the lessons provided students will not be made to pay.
For your information, guidance and compliance.
