SCHOOL MEMORANDUM

NO. 020,S. 2007

TO            :            Department Heads

                              Department Chairmen

                              Teachers

FROM      :            The Principal

RE            :            Official Time of Teachers

_____________________________________________________________________________

All teachers are required to observe their official time regardless of the time they start and end their classes.

In case of teachers whose schedule of classes vary, they may adjust their schedule on that particular day provided they render six hours and ten minutes duty. For example, Mr. X's classes start at 6:50 a.m. (MTTH), 6:00 a.m. (W), and 7:40a.m. (F). His classes end at 12:10 p.m. daily. He has the option to adopt the 6:00 a.m. - 12:10 p.m. official time, or the flexi-time: 6:50 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. (MTTH), 6:00 a.m. - 12:10 (W), 7:40 a.m. - 1:50 p.m. (F).

However, teachers with varied class schedule opting for flexi-times should inform the Office of the Principal. This should be done in writing and submitted in triplicate copies noted by the respective subject area head/chair and approved by the Principal. (N.B. Flexi-times can be availed of from 6:00 a.m. to 6:40 p.m.only)

The same rule applies to a teacher who needs to be tardy/go on under time due to a very important personal matter to attend to; provided somebody has to take over his/her class(es) if there are classes affected. In this case, the teacher should time in and out upon arrival to and departure from the school.

Department heads/chairmen, teachers and other personnel attending meetings and seminars should seek official permission from the Office and present certificates of appearance originally signed by the supervisor or the chairman of the organizing committee after the duration of said activities. Certificates of appearance can be secured from the Office.

During examination period, examiners are excused from rendering six hours duty provided they administer the test as scheduled. However, their official times will be reflected in their daily time records.

Any tardiness/under times incurred will be deducted from the accrued leave credits.

This memorandum takes effect this Monday, June 18, 2007.

        For your guidance and compliance.
