Nintendo
has released some information regarding the next Mario games coming to the
GBA. "Super Mario Advance 2" will be a port of the SNES game "Super
Mario World." It is scheduled for a 2002 release. There is also a rumor
that "Super Mario Advance 3" will be a port of the NES game "Super
Mario Bros. 3." |

>>Tony Hawk Release Date 5/31/01 |

Babbage's
and FuncoLand have THPS2 scheduled for a May 31st release date. Amazon.com
has changed their release date to June 3rd. Surprised? While you won't see
any games made by Nintendo out early, third-party developers can do pretty
much whatever they want. I bet everyone who imported is pretty happy. |

Kemco is
working on a TV tuner for the GBA. Similar to the Game Gear tuner, it will
plug into the cartridge slot and use its own batteries. Too bad the GBA
doesn't have a back-lit screen. |

A company
called 4x Technologies has developed a way of greatly compressing the size
of videos. One of the plans the company has for this new innovation is to
bring movies to your GBA! They claim they will be able to fit a 2 hour movie
onto a 512 MegaBit (64 MegaByte) cart. Sounds great, but I doubt we'll see
this anytime soon. |

It is rumored that
Wal-Mart, along with a couple other stores, have dropped their price tag
to $89.99 from the expected $99.99. Wal-Mart recieved $89.99 price tags
for the upcoming launch and placed ads showing an $89.99 price. It looks
like other stores, such as EB and TRU, are keeping the original price. |
