Maybe I should turn around, maybe I should stop,
Maybe I should turn around...!
Chorus:
Speedin' back to my baby,
And I don't mean maybe!
Speedin' back to my baby,
And I don't mean maybe!
Maybe I should turn around, maybe I should stop,
Maybe I should turn around
(v2)
I'm lookin' for a station, 'cos there's no acceleration to get
back,
Oh, yeah!
My gage is showin' red and my battery is dead,
I'd better get one fast!
The whole thing began 'cos I saw him with a man, my baby,
Oh, yeah!
I really wouldn't mind, but you know I've got my pride to think
of,
Uh-huh!
Maybe I should turn around, maybe I should stop,
Maybe I should turn around...!
Chorus:
Speedin' back to my baby,
And I don't mean maybe!
Speedin' back to my baby,
And I don't mean maybe!
Maybe I should turn around, maybe I should stop,
Maybe I should turn around...!
(screamin' guitar solo)
(v3)
I finally found a station, now I got acceleration to get back,
Oh, yeah!
He's my only girl and to me he's just the world, my Baby,
Uh-huh!
Maybe I should turn around, maybe I should stop,
Maybe I should turn around...!
Chorus:
Speedin' back to my baby,
And I don't mean maybe!
Speedin' back to my baby,
And I don't mean maybe!
Speedin' back to my baby,
And I don't mean maybe!
Speedin' back to my baby,
And I don't mean maybe!
Note: I realize there is an inconsistancy with who the song is about; a "he" or a "she". I believe The Donnas tried to re-write the lyrics as spoken from a female point of view, but didn't correct all the things that would make the song rhyme and/or flow better. Those really ARE the lyrics though!! Also, I noticed that the original Ace Frehley song is entitled "Speedin' Back To My Baby" and the title of the song on The Donnas' 7" is "Speeding Back To My Baby". So there you are... the difference is why.
