Following a carreer trajectory that parallels the Circle Jerks and T.S.O.L, The Meatmen were a messy punk band before deciding to experiment and play cheeseball 80s metal. Unlike the Circle Jerks where it's a joke and unlike T.S.O.L. where it's serious, it seems here, The Meatmen are somewhere in between.
The production has really 80s reverbed to hell drums, female back up vocals, acoustic guitars and keyboards. Also sanse "French People Suck", a remake and "Dichstrudel" a novelty song, the album really only has seven new songs on it. A metal anthem about The Meatmen taking over the U.S., an anti redneck rocker, a macho Manowarlike epic with an acoustic guitar intro and bombastic synth lines, a ZZ Top esque disco rocker, an up beat punky rocker about a decadent party pad, a blues rocker that makes fun of vegetarians and, surprise, another cock rocker. The riffs and solos are mighty fine though.
