Mecha-Sonic: Built by Snively to be the ultimate robot, Mecha-Sonic was created in Sonic's image. He looks exactly like Sonic, but silver in coloring. Armed with razor sharp claws of steel, super strength, and a built-in laser cannon in his right wrist; Mecha-Sonic had Sonic beat in offensive power hands down. But due to a fowl up on his first mission, Mecha-Sonic doesn't have Sonic's speed. This is the one thing that has always kept Sonic one step a head of his robotic double. When he was activated, he recieved the free will of a Roboticized hedgehog, gaining the ability to think for himself without needing orders from an outside influence. His programming was designed to block all emotions of the free will except aggression. But recently, his free will has been causing more emotion than his programming was built to handle. He now remembers a red hedgehog which he believes he has a connection with. Unsure who the hedgehog is, he has vowed to one day discover her identity; after killing Sonic, of course. |

Azala the Dragon: Very little is known about this wise guardian of Dragon's Cave. As Guardian and Keeper of the legendary Ice Apple, Azala lives in Dragon's Cave, waiting for the next challenger of his test to arrive. Sonic met him when he came looking for the Ice Apple to cure a dying Dulcy from a deadly chili pepper. Unfortunately for Sonic, Mecha-Sonic had used a prototype teleporter to arrive at Dragon's Cave before him. Azala announced that the two would face off in combat until one couldn't continue. After several hours of battling, an exhausted Sonic finally won. But Azala still had one more test for Sonic to pass before he would give him the apple. Sonic passed the last test and earned the apple. Due to his exhaustion, Azala flew him back to the Great Forest, getting Sonic there just in time. |

Rockies: When Sonic and Mecha were caught in the explosion of a hover-unit, they were flung into a cave in a mountain side. The shockwave from the explosion caused the mouth of the cave to become blocked from falling rocks. While Sonic and Mecha were unconcious from the explosion, they were taken prisoner by these rock-like creatures, which Sonic and Mecha called Rockies. These creatures have a religious belief that all above ground beings are meant to be sacrificed to their god Idita. The Elder of the clan gave Sonic and Mecha a chance to live by escaping the mountain they were inside of. The Rockies believe that all game, whether captured for food or sacrifice, should be caught in fair hunt. It was this reason only that the Elder let Sonic and Mecha have their chance to escape. True to their word, the Rockies released Sonic and Mecha after they had made it past their best warriors. To this day, no one knows exactly where the clan is living or what they are doing, but we can assume that they are continuing with their religious culture. |

Idita: The god of the Rocky clan, Idita watches over all and keeps alive the art of fair hunting. Idita resembles a cross between a dragon and a lion; having a lion's body, but the head and wings of a dragon. The Rockies believe that Idita will bring peace and great joy as long as they follow his laws. |

Metal Sonic: Built by Robonik to be a perfect robotic duplicate of his most hated enemy, Metal Sonic is an exact copy of Sonic, all the way down to his blue colored hull. While he was made to be able to match Sonic's incredible speed, Metal Sonic's one engine is not enough to allow him to break the sound barrier, giving Sonic the edge in the speed department. But that doesn't mean that Metal Sonic's lacking in his arsenal. He is equipped with a very powerful radar scannar, allowing him to scan about a tenth of the city of Robotropolis at a single given time. He is also equipped with a cloaking device which renders himself invisible to his surroundings and to most forms of radar. But the use of the device is a major drain on his batteries and cannot be used for an extended period of time without recharging. He can also electrify the air around his body using energy from his main battery, but it greatly reduces his energy reserves, so he rarely uses this ability. There is one other ability that Metal Sonic possesses that he has only used to anyone's knowledge twice. After stealing the miniature Master Emerald from Knuckles, Metal Sonic harnessed its power to become super. In this form, his body gives off a dull golden glow as does his engine's flame. He is faster, stronger, and move manuverable. But there is one other ability that Metal Sonic does acquire in this form, and that is the ability to fire balls of chaos energy from his hands. As far Metal Sonic's personality goes, he is totally evil. He sees Roboticization as his way of being merciful to others. But there is one thing about Metal Sonic that cannot be missed no matter what, and that is his hatred for Sonic the Hedgehog. He loaths Sonic so much that he can't even bring himself to say Sonic's name without studdering (eg. Sssonic), and even then, he rarely is able to do even that, mostly reffering to Sonic as "hedgehog". He would love nothing more than to rid his life of Sonic, even if it meant destroying himself to do so in the process. |

Silver the Hedgehog: Do not confuse Silver with Mecha-Sonic. Yes, they are one-and-the-same, but the difference is that while Mecha-Sonic was a killing machine, Silver is the true being in the robot body, a kind soul with a love for nature and his friends. After having the mind control chip removed from his head by Rotor, Mecha-Sonic remembered that he was once Cody Hedgehog (no relation to Sonic or his Uncle Chuck), a well respected mechanic from Mobotropolis, and the husband of Lily Hedgehog. Mecha-Sonic changed his name to Silver and has just joined the Freedom Fighters as of the ending of the fanfiction, "A New Enemy, A New Ally", and one day hopes to be together with his wife again, this time forever. Lily Hedgehog: The red furred, brown haired wife of Cody Hedgehog (a.k.a. Silver the Hedgehog), Lily was one of the first citizens that became Roboticized, living the past 15 years as a slave to first Robotnik, then to Snively. But she was freed from the mind stealing properties of the Roboticizer by her husband. While she longed to return to Knothole with him, she knew that she would make a better difference by staying in the city and helping the other Roboticized citizens regain their memories. She is now living with Sir Charles, helping him with his spying and, when one comes near their hideout, trying to free a Wrokerbot's free will. She also longs for the day when she came be with her husband for the rest of their lives. |

Shadow the Hedgehog: A black hedgehog that looks remarkably like Sonic, except for his coloring and the slightly different style to his quills. Shadow was the mysterious cloaked figure that has been following Sonic for the past two years, watching him carefully and saving him when the need arised. Shadow finally revealed himself to the Freedom Fighters as of the story, "Shadows in the Night". He raced Sonic through the Great Forest, winning by using the Chaos Emerald he had to activate the Chaos Control and warp himself to the finish line. He then explained why he had come to Knothole, telling everyone of the visions of the future he had seen through his emerald's power. He then told them that he thinks Sonic is the one from his visions that will save Mobius from its ill-fated future. He was then invited to join the Freedom Fighters and accepted. He is pretty sure he can teach Sonic to be more patient. Maybe enough to the point that he will able use the Chaos Control as well. But only time will tell if Shadow was right about Sonic being the one destined to save Mobius. Now, a year after joining the Freedom Fighters, Shadow has returned to the very military base he had escaped from four years ago to pay his respects to the only friend from his past who was killed. Unfortunately, Shadow witnessed an execution involving children, which brought back the memories of his friend. Fueled by his anger, he attacked the military base. But in the end, he was captured and his mind stripped of his memories of the last four years. Using the last of the psychic power he had gained from the green Chaos Emerlad, Shadow telepathically erased the memories of his existence from everyone he had ever had contact with. As Shadow's last memories were erased from his mind, he vowed that he would avenge both himself and his friend from his past by killing all humans on Mobius. Who knows if he will follow through with this threat? Only time will tell. |

Knuckles the Echidna: Born on the Floating Island, Knuckles has led a life free of the outside world's influence, at least in the way of knowing about the war. The present Guardian of the Floating Island and the last known echidna on Mobius, Knuckles doesn't fool around when the safety of his home is in jepordy. But due to the fact of having so little contact with outsiders, he was easily tricked by Metal Sonic (in my version of S3&K) into thinking that Sonic and Tails were the enemies. Luckily for Knuckles, he figured out who the real enemy was, and helped Sonic and Tails get to the Death Egg in time to get on board. As he watched them leave Sky Sanctuary, he was attacked by Metal Sonic, who managed to almost kill him, but thanks to a timely intervention by Silver, he was saved. Unfortunately, Metal Sonic stole the Master Emerald miniature, and used it to go super. He attacked Knuckles and Silver, but let them go as he was recalled to the Death Egg. In the end, Sonic was able to bring the Master Emerald back to Floating Island safely, although they had lost the Master Emerald miniature. Sonic invited Knuckles to join the Freedom Fighters, which he accepted after making Mighty the Armadillo, Charmy Bee, Espio the Chameleon, and Vector the Crocodile into the team known as the Chaotix, giving them the job of watching the island while he was gone. He is good with machinary and knows how to fix them with ease. He is a natural athlete, able to climb, fight, run, and even glide with the help of his dreadlocks. |

Mighty the Armadillo: Mighty first met Sonic and Tails while he was preparing to snowboard down the side of a mountain in the Ice Cap mountain range. After saving Sonic from inside a pile of snow that had buried him alive, Mighty was told by Tails what all was going on with them and Knuckles and Robotnik. Mighty, along with his pal Espio the Chameleon, agreed to help the two heros out, digging into Robotnik's hidden base in the mountain range, and helping to find the information about the Death Egg. After narrowly escaping a trap set by Metal Sonic, Mighty and Espio ventured into Launch Base to try and sabatoge the mammoth battle station's engines. They succeeded in attaching a box of explosives onto the latteral thrusters, just barely tricking Knuckles into thinking they were workers. Later on, when Sonic had returned with the Master Emerald, Mighty, along with Vector the Crocodile, Charmy Bee, and Espio were asked by Knuckles to help guard the island while he went back to Knothole with Sonic. Needless to say, they agreed, and became the team of four known as the Chaotix. |

After being chased into a cave by the machine, they were saved by Sonic at the last minute. Charmy and Vector departed, only to reappear after Sonic had secured the Master Emerald from Robotnik. It was then that Charmy, along with Vector, Mighty the Armadillo, and Espio the Chameleon, were asked by Knuckles to help guard the island while he went back to Knothole with Sonic. Needless to say, they agreed, and became the team of four known as the Chaotix. |
