What a Wacky Weekend: Friday

Not really, but I don't have much else to write about. So let's start with Friday. The plan is to go to the TriSports social. Apparently some folks got together and decided there wasn't enough sports here in the Triangle for the young, yet getting older crowd. So they invite everyone down to a Blues Café for a mixer. The idea is that they put on lots of fun co-ed sports and games throughout the year.

Sadly, we brought all the co-ed with us. 3 of my female friends were already going down there and another was meeting us there. I drove 3 with me. So once we were in, the place had a total of 10 women. If you're slow at math, that means there was only 3 other women there. Thank goodness they supplied all the guys! I think some had to hang from the ceiling to fit in.

But was I put off by this? No. What? No really, I wasn't. That's because something requiring more of my focus was already afoot. Right before leaving for this sausage-fest, I got a call from an old friend. She was going to be driving through and wanted to stop by for a few minutes to catch up. Great. I won't go into details here, but you Ericsson folks need to send someone a congrats email (yes, finally a ring!). A good time, but bittersweet whenever traveling down that path of course.

Well, with the taste of bad food and no Cincy game in sight, some of us decide to head out somewhere else. Now we're playing pool in a dead bar watching the end of the Cincy game. Closer than it should be. With 56 seconds left, Cincy is down by 4 and they don't even have the ball. CA wants to leave anyway, so I walk her to her car. When I return I come to find out Cincy pulled off the miracle comeback and I missed it. Like so many other things, lol. Time for bed.
