Kayaking Weekend (Part 8 of a few)

Well, Sunday morning, time to leave. Most people were sluggish and there was some dilly-dallying of course. But Chris and I wear slightly burnt, tired and ready to get out of there. So we left before noon, though most of the others stayed to go do some touring and beach-walking.

We did find the wallet on the way home. In Nags Head. Ugh. But this also gave us a chance to shop, so that was good. But my feet hurt by then, it was hot and the drink machines were out of water. Ugh. And on top of that, nothing good to buy.

We continued on. Through all the crappy fields, wild animal warnings and dirty little towns. One place wasn't a town, so much as an obvious farming community. In the middle of this community was a car dealership. Or more appropriately, a truck dealership.

There was nothing to be found for miles - no people, no houses, no money. And yet, here was this dealership. And it had trucks. Big, expensive ones. A lot of trucks. All of them in fact. I don't know that I've ever seen a lot so full of anything before. Who were they expecting to buy all these trucks? So we're thinking - money laundering scheme.

As fun as the trip was, it was good to be home. Hope your weekend was as exciting and varied.
