FASCISM -- ARE WE THERE YET?
The USA is not a fascist state... but are we making progress towards becoming one? According to my dictionary:
fascism (n) a governmental system led by a dictator, forcibly suppressing opposition and criticism, and emphasizing an aggressive nationalism, militarism, and often racism.
Let's break it down...
-
Led by a dictator? Not yet (Florida recounts aside). But it could happen faster than you might think. Following the 11 Sept atrocities, Bush immediately said "we're at war"--and says the war could go on for years. During wartime, the president can invoke sweeping emergency powers. A web search on "executive order 11490" turns up some wild stuff. One of the more sober explanations...

...ends with a quote from conservative activist Howard J. Ruff. "Since the enactment of Executive Order 11490, the only thing standing between us and dictatorship is the good character of the President, and the lack of a crisis severe enough that the public would stand still for it."
-
Forcibly suppressing opposition and criticism? In case executive order's aren't enough, legislation is now in place. Also, Bush has ordered that military tribunals may replace the courts in some national security cases (read: when people oppose the government). That means secret trials, no jury, you don't bring your lawyer, no right of appeal, if Bush thinks you're a threat.

- Aggressive nationalism? Something about half a billion flags, "we are a great nation", and our blind certainty that we know what's right for the world. God bless America. You're either with us or you're against us.
- Militarism? Racism? Ask the Afghans, the Iraquis, the Vietnamese, and all sorts of other people around the globe. WE HAVE ALL THE BIG GUNS. We now exert greater military domination of the world than any nation in history: more than Britain or the Romans ever did.
...but this couldn't happen here, could it? Of course not. You can trust your government, right? RIGHT?
THE FAR-FETCHED FASCISM SCENARIO
OK, let's imagine how it might go:
That's where we are so far.
(OK, maybe bin Laden is still in Afghanistan... Whatever.) What next?
Bingo.
Of course, this might hurt ol' Dubya's chances for re-election...
THE FARTHER-FETCHED CENTURIES-OLD-CONSPIRACY SCENARIO
This is wild: a numerological/astrological argument that the WTC attack was the culmination of a centuries-old plan by Muslims for revenge against the Knights Templar of the crusades (thus, the Freemasons, thus, the founders of the USA, and besides there are always two towers in Masonic temples, plus everything in the Koran equals 19)... Whoa!

It's over 12,000 words plus visuals. Here's an excerpt:
...in neither of the targeted cities did there seem to be any irrefutable evidence that bin Laden "the Assassin," at the times of the New York attacks, was trying to use the Templars own "magic" against them. However, a cursory check of Giza, Egypt -- the home of not only the Assassins (and Al Zawahiri) but also the Templar/Masonic religion itself -- showed the belt stars of Orion well within the half degree margin of 33 degrees at the time of the first attack! And in Kabul, capitol of Afghanistan (and bin Laden's Al-Quada "base"), Regulus -- the heart of the lion -- was dead on the horizon ... the Western "death" horizon...
...the crashing of Flight 77 into the Pentagon in Washington D.C. with "Osiris" at 39 degrees above the site, was draped in the symbolism of bin Laden's Templar enemies. It literally encoded "death to those at 77 degrees by 39 degrees" -- ergo "death to the Templar State of America!" If you need any more evidence that our Masonic founding fathers understood the significance of not only Cassidy and Steele's 77 degrees "God's Longitude" but also our own Hyperdimensional Physics, you need look no further than the architecture of our Nation's Capitol...
This looks rather bizarre. Who ARE these people? I'll have to look at it again later after my brain resets. I don't think I get it fully yet.
AND FINALLY, TWO QUOTES
The art of leadership ... consists in consolidating the attention of the people against a single adversary and taking care that nothing will split up that attention.... The leader of genius must have the ability to make different opponents appear as if they belonged to one category. - Adolf Hitler
History doesn't repeat itself, but sometimes it rhymes. - Mark Twain
